A helping hand for buyers in Carlisle

18th September 2009 Print
Swapping your existing property for a brand new home in Carlisle is a quick, stress-free and appealing solution, especially when it’s taking vendors longer to find a buyer for themselves.

The current economic situation has seen the time taken by home owners to sell a home rise considerably, but with part exchange that much coveted move is as attainable as ever.

Elaine Taylor, regional sales manager for Lovell North West, said “Part-exchange is perfect for people who want to make that dream move. We take any hassle out of their hands so they can concentrate on their all-new Lovell home.

“They will also enjoy all the other benefits that come with owning a new home such as improved energy efficiency and cheaper running costs, no costly renovations or upkeep and no living with a previous owner’s decorating disasters.”

One development offering peace of mind through part exchange is Park View II in Carlisle.

Forming part of a wide-ranging regeneration programme for the area, Park View Phase II is an exciting housing venture by Lovell Partnerships.

Commencing in 2004, the ten year regeneration project is a partnership between Lovell, the local community, Carlisle City Council and Riverside in Carlisle.

As well as impressive new housing, it includes the major regeneration of an extensive park area – Heysham Park, which is at the heart of the estate.

So far a range of buyers have been attracted to the development by quality build work, excellent transport links to the city centre and easy access to popular schools, parks and shopping facilities.

Prices here are from £137,950 for a three-bedroom detached home up to £149,950.

Another option available for customers is Lovell’s Helping Hands Scheme.

Designed to help buyers move to a more expensive property, move sideways or downsize, Helping Hands means buyers can secure their new home whilst Lovell attempt to sell their old one. Lovell will arrange for an independent valuation of the buyers existing property and after agreeing a marketing price with the buyer will reserve their Lovell home for an agreed period of time.

Lovell will be on hand to offer advice and guidance throughout the process and whilst the buyers property is with the estate agent, will stay in close contact with them to ensure everything possible is being done to prioritise the sale of their home. Once a suitable buyer has been found, a Sales Advisor will take them through to legal completion.
