Charles Church asks ‘Why rent when you can buy?’

Charles Church asks ‘Why rent when you can buy?’ Renting a home isn't the only option for people who think they are unable to take a step on - or up - the property ladder in the current market. Charles Church's shared equity scheme is currently offered on houses and apartments in Wales up to the value of £200,000, and offers a helping hand to those who think they can't buy a new home.

The scheme means houses under £200,000 can be purchased at 85 per of the value, and Charles Church will pay the remaining 15 per cent with no rent or interest on the difference. The purchaser then owns the property in its entirety - they simply pay Charles Church back when they sell, or within 10 years. This fantastic scheme means a one bedroom coach house at Millbrook in Risca costs just £86,250, a three bedroom home at Pen-Y-Bryn in Ammanford will cost £139,995 and a three bedroom home at The Grange in Abercynon is available for £149,995. Shared equity is also available on apartments in Wales, and Charles Church will pay 25 per cent of the price.

Katherine Faull, Charles Church Wales Sales Director said: "This is an excellent opportunity for purchasers to buy a brand new Charles Church home in South Wales.

We know that buying a home is becoming more difficult for purchasers, especially with the current challenging market conditions, and shared equity is great way for those who want to buy their own place to get on the property ladder."

To add to the shared equity incentive, Charles Church is also offering £500 towards legal fees, stamp duty paid and no reservation deposit.

Charles Church has been building homes in Wales since 2005, and has built up a reputation for having the name on the finest homes. Attention to detail throughout is second to none and this can be seen in the specification of the homes. Kitchens are well designed and combine style with practicality. They feature a range of useful units and a selection of appliances including a built-in oven, hob and extractor hood. Bathrooms have crisp white sanitaryware and complementary wall tiles.
