Spanair launches its operations in Girona

15th December 2006 Print
The beginning of operations on this route, aimed at both business and holiday travellers, confirms the company as the best alternative in Spanish air transport.

Girona, The 14th of December 2006.- From the 29th of January 2007, Spanair will offer two daily flights from Girona to Madrid from Monday to Friday, as well as a daily weekend slot, both ways.

By increasing its domestic network with this new direct connection, the company continues to drive forward its Expansion Plan. In addition, Girona will also benefit from connecting with Spanair's extensive domestic network via the company's "hub" in Madrid, as well as with the European cities to which Spanair flies and also to those offered as part of its shared code with the members of the Star AllianceTM.

"With this new route, Spanair is consolidating its decision to make Catalonia an essential axis in its expansion, and our position there is becoming increasingly important," states Lars Nygaard, CEO of Spanair. "Likewise, the new launch will link well with our Barcelona shuttle service, especially for those living near the Costa Brava" he adds.

Passengers travelling on this route will benefit from the advantages offered by our Punctuality Guarantee, which also applies to the full range of our scheduled domestic flight network. As well as this, they can count on a high level of service, on-board as well as on the ground, that Spanair's regular clients already enjoy.

Tickets are now on sale. For more information and reservations, visit spanair.com.
