bmi continues to restructure

Following a restructure of its UK sales team, bmi has announced that Julie Jones has been appointed Head of Business Sales. The restructure combines Business Trade and Corporate Sales into a single Business Sales team, headed up by Julie Jones, formerly Head of Corporate Sales.

The announcement underpins the airline’s strategy to focus on business travellers and to deliver sustained business growth in 2009 and beyond. Following the restructure, former Head of Business Trade Sales, Julie Steadman will be pursuing other opportunities.

Julie Jones has a proven track record in sales management at bmi following 11 years with the company. In her newly expanded role, Julie will continue to lead new business development and chair the Star Alliance UK country business sales group. Julie Jones will continue to report directly to Katherine Gershon, Sales and Marketing Director, who is responsible for driving sales success and developing worldwide marketing programmes and partnerships.
