21st November 2008 Print
Air Astana has this month begun flying in the route Almaty – Bishkek, which will be operated 4 times a week on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday by turbo-propeller aircraft Fokker-50 (50 seats).

Peter Foster, President of JSC Air Astana said: “We foresee great demand for traffic in this route. Particularly, it is expected that basic clients of our airline will be businessmen and tourists from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan and also citizens of Kyrgyzstan, employed in various enterprises. All of this is evidence of consolidating good-neighbor bilateral relations between countries and will contribute to developing economics and tourism. Also we direct our attention to our transit passengers, providing them with convenient connection with international flights from Almaty airport as large hub in Central Asia.

“At this point turbo–propeller airplane ‘Fokker 50’ was chosen for flying in this route, but we will consider other aircrafts, if demand grows. We also would like to note that these aircrafts are ideal for flying at small distances and allow saving fuel. Besides, World Company “Fokker Services” mentioned high level of flight safety of “Fokker-50” in “Air Astana” airline, which is deserved appraisal of airline’s activity whose basic principles are safety and conveniences”.

Tickets can be booked and purchased through Airastana.com, with a flight time of 55 minutes.
