Air Astana unaffected by EU air safety ban

27th July 2009 Print
Air Astana has confirmed that it is unaffected by the recent European Union Air Safety Committee ban.

Air Astana has clarified that under the terms of the recent ban imposed by the European Union Air Safety Committee on all airlines from Kazakhstan, Air Astana has been given an exemption on account of its safety record and procedures, and the fact that it is partially regulated by foreign aviation authorities separate from the Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan.

Therefore all Air Astana flights to London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Hannover are unaffected by the ban and will continue to operate as normal.
