Thomsonfly launches summer 08 flights

Let down by the British weather this year? On sale today are the first flights for summer 2008 from Thomsonfly, customers should book early to secure the lowest fares. Flights going on sale today are to the UK’s favourite Mediterranean beach getaways of Alicante and Malaga in Spain, the Balearic Islands of Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, and Minorca, and to Faro, the gateway to the popular Portuguese Algarve.

Prices start from just £34.99 one way, including taxes and charges.

Summer 2008 flights:

Cardiff: Alicante, Malaga, Palma, Ibiza, and Faro
Coventry: Alicante, Malaga, Palma, Ibiza, and Faro

In response to customer demand, Thomsonfly flights to Ibiza will increase for summer 2008 from certain airports, with two flights per week from Bournemouth (up from one per week in 2007) and four per week from Birmingham (increased from three in 2007).

“To satisfy customers’ increasing demand for choice, flexibility and convenient local departures, Thomsonfly will be offering higher frequencies in summer 2008 on many of these destinations from local airports around the UK. Most of the UK population will be within one hour of a Thomsonfly low fares flight”, says Guy Stephenson, commercial director of Thomsonfly.

“Due to overwhelmingly positive feedback from our customers this summer, we are continuing to offer the in-flight menu that has revolutionised perceptions of airline meals, personally designed by celebrity chef Aldo Zilli. These are available on all routes where a hot meal is served, at cost of £6 per meal.”

During the flight booking process customers can also pre-book meals, travel insurance, seating options allowing families to have certainty that they can sit together, baggage options and other special service requests.

Thomson also offers over 65,000 hotels which can also be booked online.
