British Airways announces changes to winter schedule

British Airways' new winter schedule will include additional services from Gatwick to Bermuda (from five to six a week), Barbados (from nine to ten a week) and St Lucia and Port of Spain (from three to five a week).

These are in addition to the previously announced new winter routes of Heathrow to Las Vegas and Gatwick to Montego Bay in Jamaica, Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, Male in the Maldives, Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt and Innsbruck in Austria.

Richard Tams, head of UK & Ireland sales, said: "We have some exciting new routes in our winter schedule and extra services to popular sun spots like the Caribbean. With our all inclusive competitive fares including complimentary check-in, baggage allowance and refreshments on board, there has never been a better time to fly."

The number of flights from Heathrow to Barcelona in increasing from five to seven a day and Prague from three to four a day

For winter 2009, Pisa, Malaga and Gibraltar will move from Gatwick to Heathrow.

Gatwick flights to Alicante, Palma, Malta, Madrid, Barcelona and Krakow will cease. British Airways will continue to fly from Heathrow to Madrid and Barcelona.

British Airways will now fly to Varna in Bulgaria from Gatwick during the summer months only.

Barbados £540.90 including taxes, fees and charges
St Lucia £541.20 including taxes, fees and charges
Port of Spain (via St Lucia) £582.90 including taxes, fees and charges
