Credit crunch crushed as Stamford Homes sells out

5th October 2009 Print
Award winning Stamford Homes is continuing its success in East Yorkshire, with a sell-out of its new homes at the popular Priory Green development in York.

The contemporary development of modern three-storey homes was among those acquired by the Grimsby-based new homes builder earlier this year from Wright Homes.

However, home hunters have been biting back at the recession, snapping up the remaining six of the 14 new homes in recent weeks to the tune of around £1.5 million.

This recession busting news follows the completion and sale of the first phase of new homes at the Vision development at Beverley last week, where sales have topped £2 million.

Stamford Homes sales manager Melanie Parker said: “This is phenomenal news – not only for Stamford Homes as a local employer and business, but for the many customers who have trusted in us and our homes.

“We have certainly seen a renewed confidence on the housing market, and it there is evidence that the credit crunch may be coming to a crushing end for many people locally – thanks to a general upturn, coupled with the fantastic incentives we have been able to offer those looking to move.”
