Join in the fun at a blooming great tea party

McCarthy & Stone at Kittoch Court in East Kilbride will be putting the kettle-on and having a ‘Blooming Great Tea Party’ on Wednesday 21 October, 2009 between 3pm-4.30pm in aid of Marie-Curie’s Big Build appeal which is raising funds to build a new Marie-Curie Hospice in Glasgow. And you’re invited to join in the fun!

This fun event forms part of a national initiative by McCarthy & Stone to support Marie Curie Cancer Care, and the company has already raised £25,940 towards their pledge to reach £30,000. Every donation made on the day - however big or small – will go towards this target.

McCarthy & Stone announced Marie Curie Cancer Care as it's Charity of the Year this year, and local events like the one planned for Kittoch Court in East Kilbride all help towards the company’s target as Suzanne McElhiney, marketing manager for McCarthy & Stone adds: “McCarthy & Stone has pledged to raise £30,000 during the year and we have a packed itinerary of events locally and nationally to reach our target including our ‘Blooming Great Tea Party’ event on Wednesday 21 October at our Kittoch Court development in East Kilbride which I’m confident will be a great success!.

“Marie Curie will use the money raised to provide terminally ill patients with nursing care in the comfort of their own home enabling people to spend their final days within familiar surroundings, whilst the local Big Build appeal aims to raise funds to build a new Marie Curie Hospice in Glasgow.”
