Nissan NV200 Combi

Never before has so much been offered for so little… The Nissan NV200 Combi goes on sale in the UK in February priced from only £15,685, providing van-sized carry capabilities, flexible passenger space and money saving fuel economy for a price that will tempt buyers to upgrade from all sectors of the market.

A truly ground-breaking new model, the NV200 Combi is all about versatile, practical transport. The NV200 van has rocked the LCV market since its launch last year, picking up the titles of What Van? Van of the Year 2010, International Van of the Year 2010 and ITM Van of the Year 2010.

With seating for up to seven passengers, the Combi version widens the NV200’s appeal to those drivers who want to combine the best of both van and MPV. Nissan’s highest quality standards and intelligent design have resulted in a model with huge capacity and surprisingly compact dimensions that’s sure to have wide appeal to businesses and families alike.

Unlike some rivals which come equipped with under-par petrol engines in entry-level form, all Combis are equipped with the same ultra-efficient 1.5-litre turbodiesel engine. The refined engine returns a thrifty 53.3mpg in the combined cycle with CO2 emissions of only 139g/km keeping running costs in line with the top value list prices.

The five-seat Combi S costs only £15,685, yet comes equipped with safety features including ABS, EBD and both driver and passenger airbags. A CD player complete with an MP3 jack, electric windows and mirrors and a trip computer are also standard. Access to the huge 3.1m3 luggage area is via twin rear glazed doors, while twin sliding side doors open to reveal the 60:40 split bench.

SE grade models start from £16,977.50 and enhance the S spec with extra equipment including alloy wheels, body coloured bumpers, air conditioning and a reversing camera. For buyers who want to combine space and value with the highest levels of safety there’s the Combi SE Plus which adds ESP and side airbags to the standard equipment list.

To make the most of the Combi’s huge cabin, a third row of seats can fitted to both SE and SE Plus models taking the total passenger count to 7 (a complete Combi price list is shown below).

Nissan’s LCV sales and marketing director, Francis Bleasdale comments: “There was only one way we could make the NV200 any better and that was to expand the range. The Combi version widens the appeal of the van outside of the normal LCV market and into the consideration of a much wider audience.  Combi’s mix of practicality, value and versatility is sure to appeal to many family car buyers.”
