Spanair to operate code share flights with Egyptair and Turkish Airlines

As of this month, Spanair will operate code share flights with Star Alliance members Egyptair and Turkish Airlines.

“The launch of our strategic cooperation with Egyptair and Turkish Airlines follows our commitment towards to our clients to offer more connections from Spain to the World, ensuring a high standard of quality of service”, said Michael Balint Szücs, the CEO of Spanair.

Through Egyptair Spanair will operate its direct routes of code share flights to Cairo and in connexion to Luxor, both from Madrid and Barcelona. Furthermore the Spanair passengers will enjoy the Egyptair Premium services and vice versa. In this way both companies strengthen their commercial cooperation in Spanish and Egyptian markets.

Through the agreement with Turkish Airlines Spanair will offer direct flights from Barcelona and Madrid to Istanbul and connexion flights to Ankara. By now domestic passengers in Spain will now be able to connect Turkish Airlines’ network of 119 international and 37 domestic routes, including destinations to Turkey, Europe, North America, South America, Russia, Central Asia and the Middle East.

The turnover until the final destination, the quality services of these network companies and the adjustment of schedules in order to speed up connections, enable the best option to travel between Spain and Cairo and Istanbul.

Spanair frequent flyers can redeem miles on all networks of Egyptair and Turkish Airlines and also enjoy access to VIP lounges made available to Business Class passengers and Gold cardholders.

Spanair will ensure connections for passengers originated from or destined to La Coruña, Palma de Mallorca, Bilbao, Sevilla and Alicante through the El Prat airport, and coming from or going to Ibiza and Malaga from Madrid.
