Leaders in operating luxury accommodation, including Bahrain’s pre-eminent five-star hotel, The Gulf Hotels Group will make its debut at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai on May 4, 2010.

With its flagship Gulf Hotel and Convention Centre in Bahrain capital Manama, the group’s developing range of interests takes another step forward in September with the launch of another innovative hotel development, the opening of the much-anticipated K Hotel.

Founded in 1967 as the Bahrain Hotels Company, today’s Gulf Hotels Group continues the original vision of providing an unrivalled standard of hospitality on the island.

Quoted on the Bahrain Stock Exchange, the group diversified its business with the launch in 2000 of the Gulf Hotels Management Company to undertake the management of hotels and catering operations on behalf of investors. Further innovation came in 2006 when the Gulf Hotels Group opened its first luxury serviced apartments, the Gulf Executive Residence in Bahrain.

The Gulf Hotel and Convention Centre
This landmark property is Bahrain’s original and leading five-star luxury property, conveniently located just minutes from the trendy Adliya area of Manama and close to the Grand Mosque.

Perfectly suited for both business and leisure travellers, its 357 stylishly-designed rooms offer panoramic views of the city. Food lovers will not be disappointed, with 14 restaurants, ranging from Italian fine dining, traditional Persian and Lebanese, authentic Japanese and Chinese cuisine to the highly-popular Mexican option.

Refurbished in 2007, the property is home to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s largest conference and convention facilities within a hotel, offering outstanding venues for all sizes of events, from small business meetings to major symposiums of up to 2,200 delegates.

The K Hotel
Latest addition to the Gulf Hotels Group’s portfolio will be The K Hotel, a distinctive four-star deluxe property, scheduled to open on September 1, 2010.

Located in Juffair, just 15 minutes from the airport and close to the diplomatic area, this 237-room property is also targeting business and leisure travellers.

The accommodation will comprise 156 spacious and luxuriously-appointed rooms, together with 78 suites. In addition, there will be a two-bedroom Princess Suite with its own private rooftop swimming pool, a further two-bedroomed Prince Suite and the hotel’s crowning glory, a two-level penthouse King Suite, offering four bedrooms and private rooftop pool.

In Gulf Hotels Group tradition, The K Hotel will set new trends for gastronomy. An all-day-dining restaurant will feature a steak-house style menu in the evening, while an Asian-style restaurant will specialise in noodles and dim sum, plus the bistro-style The Terrace.

Meeting rooms will accommodate between 10 and 160 delegates and facilities are completed with an outstanding health club and two swimming pools – one for adults and another for children.

Gulf Executive Residence
Located within the Gulf Hotel complex in Manama, the Gulf Executive Residence boasts 97 premium luxurious one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.

Spread over 14 floors and providing breathtaking views of Gudaibiya Bay and the surrounding city, the development allows residents to enjoy all the comforts offered by the luxurious five-star hotel. Every Gulf Executive Residence guest has complimentary access to the hotel’s lagoon-style swimming pool, separate state-of-the-art ladies and men’s health clubs, squash courts and open-air tennis courts.

Ocean Paradise Resort
Operated by Gulf Hotels Management Company, Ocean Paradise is true to its name, set amidst the white sandy beaches and sparkling waters on the north east coast of Zanzibar.

The 100 authentic circular chalets, complete with makuti roofs, combine traditional style with all the modern services expected of a first-class resort. All fully air conditioned rooms provide spectacular sea views and feature their own verandas for further relaxation.

The resort includes three wonderful restaurants, a lounge bar, sunken pool bar, disco and live entertainment bar. For the watersports enthusiast, windsurfing, canoeing and PADI diving are available, while the spacious recreation centre includes tennis courts, table tennis and snooker.

The grand pavilion-style reception, with its vast colonnaded lobby and waterfall, provide the perfect welcome and promise of a holiday of a lifetime.
