Renault Trucks takes over Mallusk dealership

Renault Trucks has announced its take over of Coulter Truck & Van Ltd, at Mallusk, Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland, from 1st May 2010.   The dealership will now trade as Renault Trucks NI, a branch of Renault Trucks UK Ltd.

The dealership will continue to operate from its current premises, offering the full Renault Trucks’ range of new and used commercial vehicles and services.  The facility has a multi-bay workshop, is a licensed tachograph centre and offers a range of services from standard vehicle servicing to repair and maintenance contracts, MOT preparation and presentation and the Renault Trucks 24/24 roadside assistance breakdown service.

“Ballyvesey Holdings, the parent company of Coulter Truck & Van, has decided to concentrate its truck dealership business interests in mainland England and relinquish its Renault Trucks franchise in Northern Ireland,” explains Laurent Farman, Managing Director, Renault Trucks UK Ltd.  “The Northern Ireland market is important to us.  We have a strong customer base there and, although the economy is still depressed, we do see potential for growth in this market, hence our decision to take over the assets of the company and to continue with the Renault Trucks dealership on the same site.”
