Milton Keynes landscaping and grounds maintenance specialists, Land Structure Ltd., have taken delivery of their first two Nissan Interstar vans and they are hard at work in and around the city delivering the company’s mantra, “Helping Nature Look It’s Best”.

Mike Miller, joint Managing Director at Land Structure said, “These two vehicles were bought for a housing association term maintenance contract which we have held for six years and have just been re-awarded”. The new Interstars will be using trailers to transport grass-cutting equipment - mowers etc during the summer and in the winter they will move on to capital work including tree and shrub planting.

Supplied by Volvo Truck and Bus Centre London, the vans will be serviced and supported at their Tongwell site in Milton Keynes. Mike Miller was keen to do business with a truck dealer that had a van product, rather than just a van operation. He said, “We expect them to have a better understanding of transport operators needs with longer opening hours and better aftermarket support.”

Formed to take advantage of the booming landscaping opportunities in Milton Keynes, Land Structure now have a well-established commercial, industrial and leisure landscaping business.

Land Structure chose the middle wheelbase and roof height options on the Interstars to give them the increase in cube and gross weight that they were looking for. The 120hp engine and six-speed manual 'box completed the spec.

Mike Miller said that their drivers had taken to them very well and the consensus was that they made their previous smaller vehicles ‘look like ice-cream vans’.
