Weddings abroad are about to become more popular than ever as specialist operator, Tropical Sky, in conjunction with the Barbados Tourism Authority, launch a unique package where the bride and groom travel to Barbados and stay for a week on an all-inclusive basis absolutely free!
What’s more, the wedding ceremony is also complimentary, which leaves the newly-weds with more in their pockets to start their married life together – or for the bride to justify the cost of that all-important wedding dress.
With savings of over £3,000 bookings must be made by 30 April 2011 and are available on weddings taking place at selected resorts in Barbados until 31 December 2012. To qualify for the complimentary trip for two, the couple needs to take 20 guests with them. Those travelling with fewer people still benefit, as if there are 10 guests (in addition to the groom) then the saving is applied to the bride who will travel and stay on a complimentary basis – and the couple will also still enjoy a free wedding!

Three-Star: Discovery Bay by rex resorts: An elegant beach hotel set in five acres of tropical grounds on the fashionable west coast, it offers excellent watersports, a swimming pool, tennis court and superb personal service. At Discovery Bay, the wedding guest price starts from £949 per person, to include seven nights in a deluxe room on an all-inclusive basis with scheduled flights from Gatwick, taxes and surcharges.
The wedding package typically includes government fees, registrar costs, ceremony charges, services of a wedding coordinator, clergyman or magistrate, decorated site for the wedding, bouquet of garden flowers for the bride, boutonniere for the groom, wedding cake and a bottle of wine or champagne.
