Shakespeare’s Gardens to host outdoor plays

Shakespeare’s Gardens are to be the unique setting for a number of special theatrical outdoor plays this summer.

On Friday 13 August, The Three Musketeers will be performed in the gardens of Hall’s Croft by the Caramba Theatre Company, one of the Midlands most versatile and colourful companies. The same performance will take place the following evening at Mary Arden’s Farm. Doors open at 6:30pm with performances starting at 7:30pm.

On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 August, visitors can enjoy a performance of The Tempest at Hall’s Croft. The play will be performed by theatre company, the Festival Players. Performances start at 7pm on both the Saturday and Sunday evening.

Visitors can also enjoy two live performances with ‘Shakespeare Aloud’ on Thursday 19 and Thursday 26 August in the gardens of Shakespeare’s Birthplace. Visitors can relax in the gardens listening to excerpts from Shakespeare’s plays performed by the resident acting company.

Tickets for The Three Musketeers cost £12.50 for adults and £10.50 for concessions. Tickets can be booked online at caramba-theatre.co.uk. The Three Musketeers is suitable for a family audience. Tickets for The Tempest, which cost £14 for adults and £11 for concessions, can be pre-booked by calling Hall's Croft. Tickets for Shakespeare Aloud, which include access to Shakespeare’s Birthplace and ‘Shakespeare's Women’ exhibition, cost £10 for adults, £7.50 for all concessions and £25 for a family.
