Landlords’ lives made even easier online

Accommodationforstudents.com (AFS) has upgraded its website and introduced three new time and money saving services. Each enables landlords to fill and manage their properties more efficiently. The services – Potential Tennant Alerts, MyDeposits and Home3Assistance - are now live and available to use.

Similar to a dating service, the new Potential Tenant Alerts help to place the perfect students in Landlords’ properties. AFS emails landlords with details of prospective tenants who are searching for their kind of property to enable them to contact students directly. It creates a quick and hassle free tenant finding service, which is easy to use.

In order to offer landlords a safe and legally compliant way to handle deposits, AFS has teamed up with Government-approved deposit protection scheme - Mydeposits.co.uk. The unique system is the only one that allows landlords to hold the deposit in their bank account, giving them the freedom to resolve matters at the end of tenancy without involving others. MyDeposits offers peace of mind and can handle disputes if necessary.

Currently 60,000 UK landlords use this service and as AFS is offering a reduced registration fee of just £45 now is the time to sign up.

The final new service - Home3Assistance - is a landlord emergency cover programme. It provides fast, professional and efficient assistance for domestic emergencies in rental properties. It gives landlords peace of mind via its immediate access to a nationwide network of fully vetted and qualified local tradesmen. Plus, as the tenant calls Home3 direct, who then handles the emergency in a three-way conversation with the tradesman for the fastest solution, there is no more need for landlords to be awakened in the middle of the night, leaving them free to carry on with business as usual.

As well as these new services, AFS has upgraded the popular iPhone app – ‘StudentAccomm.’ It has been downloaded over 6,200 times since launching in January and has now been improved to include extra features, which enable students to find your properties even easier and faster.

The new application, which is free from the iPhone App Store, automatically detects the user’s location using the iPhone’s in-built GPS and displays all of the properties in that area.

It also now allows students to search for properties via a radial distance postcode tracker. If a property looks of interest, with one touch students can contact the landlord directly for more information or to arrange a viewing. All the relevant details can then be selected and saved to the iPhone so they can contact you again or show it to friends or parents.

The three new services indictate AFS’s dedication to improving the offering landlords receive and reaffirm its position as the number one website for landlords.
