New look website for Fine Individual Hotels

13th September 2010 Print

Fine Individual Hotels, a collection of 50 of the very best privately owned and operated luxury hotels in the UK, launches its brand new website this week with a fresh new look, compelling content and easy to navigate delivery to provide quality accommodation and hospitality across England, Scotland and Wales in a choice of city and rural locations.

Designed to provide a trusted one stop shop for consumers looking for quality accommodation throughout the UK, a key feature of the new website is the easy to use ‘quick search’ facility that enables users to look for specific categories of hotels. So whatever the occasion, whether it be a romantic stay in an historic castle, a pet friendly bolthole, a gourmet taste of the country, a spa beauty break with girlfriends or a golf and activity breaks with the boys, a choice of properties are on offer as well as the chance to search in a particular region of the UK through a cutting- edge interactive map.

Each member hotel has its own landing page where more information and images of the hotel can be found as well as special offers for each hotel and the booking mechanism that takes clients directly to the hotel website or a phone number to book directly with the property.

Visitors can also sign up to the Member’s Club to receive regular newsletters highlighting incentives and follow links to social media sites including Twitter and Facebook. Once guests have stayed at any of the member hotels they will also be encouraged to leave their ‘user reviews’ so that future guests can see the top rated hotels featured on the home page of the website.

In order to retain the standards and exclusivity of the group hotels have been rated according to a range of independent, impartial quality assessment systems, so that guests will know what to expect and can choose the hotel that's right for them.

Many of the hotels are ideally suited to host weddings, from intimate venues for a small ceremony to more spectacular hotels for larger weddings with banqueting facilities. The website lists the choice of locations, offering some of the UK’s most idyllic locations and many of the hotels also can arrange a civil ceremony as part of the wedding package.

Options include Brockencote Hall Hotel in Worcestershire, a Victorian country house set in 70 acres, or the romantic location of Combe House Hotel, a privately owned 15 bedroom Elizabethan country manor hotel set in 3,500 acres near Honiton in Devon. For an intimate wedding in the heart of Snowdonia National Park Dolserau Hall Hotel offers exclusive use for the wedding party to take over the 20 bedroom hotel with its panoramic views and great walking country. Or for a larger setting Rudding Park, a 49 bedroom Regency period house set in mature gardens near Harrogate in Yorkshire has its own 17th Century chapel which may be used for a blessing or civil ceremonies can be arranged in the house with room for up to 200 guests.

A number of the hotels offer spa and leisure facilities such as Bryn Meadows Golf, Hotel and Spa near Caerphilly in Wales. Perfectly located for walking in the Brecon Beacons, exercise richly rewarded by a session in the Fusion Spa & Wellness where its possible to sooth aching limbs in the hydrospa, sauna and steam room or sample a range of holistic spa and beauty therapies to relax, pamper and indulge.

Alternatively, Headlam Hall Hotel, Spa and Golf a 40 bedroom 17th Century Jacobean mansion stands in beautiful walled gardens surrounded by its own spa, golf course and rolling farmland near Darlington in Country Durham. The stunning new Headlam Spa includes a swimming pool, outdoor hydrotherapy pool, thermal zone and fully equipped gym as well as five luxurious treatment rooms where an extensive range of spa treatments can be enjoyed. On the edge of Lake Windermere the 75 bedroom Lakeside Hotel offers a luxury Health and Leisure Spa where guests can use the pool overlooking the lake, its poolside Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, gymnasium and three tranquil spa treatment rooms using Aveda products, complemented by a private relaxation area.

Or for a luxurious seaside retreat head to Tides Reach Hotel on a tree-fringed sandy cove just inside the mouth of the Salcombe Estuary. With 35 spacious bedrooms and a superb indoor heated swimming pool at the centre of the hotel’s leisure complex which also includes a spa, gym, sauna and spa bath, where guests can unwind.

Locally sourced gourmet cuisine is also a feature for many of the hotels, with each hotel’s culinary accolades clearly marked on their page of the website. Colwall Park Hotel at Malvern, for example, has two AA Rosettes, and is also featured in the Michelin and Good Food Guide for its gourmet food served in the Lantern Barn accompanied by a good selection of real ales and a well stocked wine cellar. Or taking advantage of its south coast location Morton House Hotel, at Corfe Castle in Dorset, which was Built in 1590 in the shape of an ‘E’ to honour Queen Elizabeth I, enjoys a fine reputation for offering traditional and innovative cuisine in its AA two Rosettes restaurant and has also been recognised by VisitBritain with a Breakfast Award. Whilst the Hoste Arms, a former 17th century Coaching Inn at picturesque, Burnham Market in Norfolk features a new Moroccan outside dining area providing a stunning backdrop for alfresco dining and summer concerts.

In addition a number of the Scottish properties are well placed to take in a round of golf and the website highlights some of the less well known courses and the nearest member hotels, such as the Mansion House Hotel and Country Club in Elgin which is close to the Old Moray and Buckie. Or the baronial mansion of Ballathie House Hotel on the banks of the River Tay near Perth which is perfectly located for a wide variety of great golf courses including Blairgowrie Golf Club. For guests of Cairnbaan Hotel, a 200 year old hotel on the Crinan Canal in Argyll, golf is available at the nearby Lochgilphead Golf Club and a stay at the historic Knockinaam Lodge at Portpatrick, which once hosted Sir Winston Churchill for a meeting with General Eisenhower and their chiefs of staff during the Second World War, a choice of 32 courses is on offer across Dumfries and Galloway.

With plenty of options to suit all tastes and occasions Fine Individual Hotels offers simple and easy planning for a memorable break away, all within a few simple clicks on the website.
