The leading international group for independent hotels, Worldhotels, has added two new properties in Scandinavia to its worldwide portfolio of 450 hotels; Berns Hotel in Stockholm and the newly opened Tivoli Hotel in Copenhagen.

Berns Hotel is a Stockholm landmark boutique hotel, boasting 82 immaculately designed rooms. Located in the heart of Stockholm’s commercial district, the four-star-hotel is just a few minutes from shops and restaurants, providing ideal accommodation for both business and leisure guests. Emphasis is on offering an exceptional level of personal service and creating a homely feel. The lobby is also a living art gallery, exhibiting work from Swedish and international artists, adding to the stylish feel of the property. The hotel is part of Berns Salonger; an entertainment venue offering two restaurants, a night club, a concert hall as well as event and banqueting facilities for up to 1250 people.

Yvonne Sörensen Björud, General Manager of Berns Hotel said: “We are excited to be joining Worldhotels and look forward to expanding our sales and marketing efforts through their global exposure and strong sales network.”

Tivoli Hotel in Copenhagen opened its doors on September 2nd. Boasting fantastic architecture and luxurious facilities, the first and only themed hotel in Copenhagen provides unique experiences to business and leisure travellers alike. The 396 modern rooms are decorated with thematic reference to Tivoli Gardens, Denmark’s famous amusement park, which is located just 1km from the hotel. During the Tivoli season, all guests receive free admission. The modern event facilities include 23 conference rooms with a capacity for up to 2.500 people and all featuring air conditioning, natural daylight and the latest technical equipment. Another highlight is the Skybar on the 12th-floor offering amazing views of the city and serving fantastic Sushi in its restaurant ‘Sticks’N’Sushi’.

“We have chosen Worldhotels because of the vast number of opportunities this partnership will bring,” says Birthe Becker Schultz, Director of Sales and Marketing of the Tivoli Hotel. “The strong profile Worldhotels has built will help us open the doors to customers worldwide. In addition, we expect this partnership to bring us in a strong strategic position in a competitive market.”

“With these two additions, we further shape our unique portfolio which we built over the past 40 years and which consists of the most outstanding properties in Scandinavia,” comments Ingo Gürges, Vice President Development of Worldhotels.

“Berns Salonger has been a Stockholm landmark for over a century and offers the most famous ballroom, as well as modern guestrooms and unique gastronomy. The Tivoli Hotel is Copenhagen’s latest contemporary four-star-property with vast conference facilities and an innovative design. Effortlessly stylish, both hotels offer an exceptional standard of service catering to the typical Worldhotels guest.”
