Popular saving accounts go online

N&P (Norwich and Peterborough Building Society), has launched online versions of two of its most popular savings accounts - Regular Saver (paying 4% including bonus), and Family Regular Saver (paying 5% including bonus).

E-Regular Saver and E-Family Regular Saver are both available immediately, and must be opened and operated solely via N&P's website at nandp.co.uk.  The accounts have exactly the same features as their branch-based equivalents, and making them available to be opened and operated online will now make them available to more people.

Gary Lacey, savings product manager at N&P, said:  "These accounts offer excellent rates and we're pleased to be able to open them up to a wider audience.  Saving regularly, even if it's only a small amount, soon adds up and the bonuses available on these accounts give people an extra incentive not to dip in to their savings."

E-Regular Saver details

Minimum balance £1, maximum balance £250 per month

Year one interest rate of 4% fixed (gross), 3.2% (net), and year two onwards rate of 2% variable (gross), 1.6% (net).  Note the variable rate from year two onwards is subject to change.  All rates include a 1.5% annual bonus, which is paid providing 12 consecutive monthly payments and no more than one withdrawal per annum is made.

E-Family Regular Saver details

Only available to those who have dependent children (i.e. up to age 16, or 18 if in full time education)

Minimum balance £1, maximum balance £250 per month

Year one interest rate of 5% fixed (gross), 4% (net), and year two onwards rate of 3.5% variable (gross), 2.8% (net).  Note the variable rate from year two onwards is subject to change.  All rates include a 3% annual bonus, which is paid providing 12 consecutive monthly payments and no more than one withdrawal per annum is made.
