On 5 March 2010 ELLE launched a nationwide search for talented shop girls and boys who have what it takes to become international stylists.

The competition - now in its closing stages - will culminate in a high-pressure X Factor-style final in London during November with Lily Allen and sister, Sarah Owen, as judges
alongside ELLE editor in chief, Lorraine Candy.

Lily and Sarah lend their fashion expertise after opening vintage clothes boutique, Lucy in Disguise, last month.

ELLE editor in chief Lorraine Candy says: "We asked Lily to get involved with Shopgirl after shooting her for our August cover earlier this year. She’s a true fashion lover who always brings her individuality to an outfit and once we got talking to her about the store she was opening with her sister, Sarah Owen, we realised she was the perfect person to judge our search for new styling talent."

Lily Allen and Sarah Owen say: "We’re thrilled to be on the panel for Shop Girl to Stylist. It's a great initiative from ELLE and it's been really exciting to see how many super-stylish girls are out there."

The ten finalists, from all over the UK and Ireland, will be set a styling challenge by Lorraine Candy and fellow judges. The influential panel includes British designers, Giles Deacon and Katie Hillier; LA stylist to the stars, Arianne Phillips and London based model Ben Grimes.

The winner will be given the chance to work for ELLE as well as offering their styling skills to Lily and Sarah at their Lucy in Disguise store in London.
