At the heart of the river Volga and close to the Caspian Sea is Russia's third Capital, Kazan where Eastern and Western cultures merge.

The city is the capital of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan and is situated 500 miles south-east of Moscow.

Kazan has a 1,000 year old history and is part of the newly formed 'Golden Triangle' of former Russian capitals after Moscow and St. Petersburg. Kazan boasts a UNESCO world heritage Kremlin and attracts culture seekers and adventurers looking for emerging destinations.
