Virgin Media goes Oh la la with launch of Cinémoi

Virgin Media is celebrating the glamour and style of French culture this festive season as the celebrated French cinema channel Cinémoi joins the Virgin Media TV line-up. To mark the launch of the new channel, all Virgin Media digital TV customers will be able to enjoy the premium new movie channel for free throughout December and January with over 40 great movies to enjoy.

Cinémoi is the first and only TV channel dedicated to French cinema. Produced specially for a UK audience, Cinémoi offers a fresh and exciting catalogue of quality films, many of which have never been seen outside of France before. For those who don’t speak French every film is subtitled so film fans will be able to enjoy the best of French film and TV with ease.

Cinémoi also features a range of content beyond movies with unique lifestyle programming and special features such as exclusive interviews from some of the silver screen’s most talented including, Monica Bellucci, Jane Birkin and Charlotte Rampling. Jonathan Ross has said: “I watch more movies on Cinémoi than on any other film channel. I love the mix of contemporary commercial French cinema as well as the classics they show on a regular basis” and Michael Caine has confessed: “I watch it all the time now”.

This spring Cinémoi made television history with its exclusive coverage of the glamour of Cannes 2010 with highlights from the red carpet as well as interviews with some of the biggest names in cinema.

All Virgin Media digital TV customers will be able to indulge in Cinémoi’s delights from 1st December 2010 through to 31st January 2011 for absolutely nothing. During this promotional period, Virgin Media customers who chose to include Cinémoi in their package will benefit from a reduced subscription of £5.99 per month throughout 2011, otherwise £6.99 per month if customers sign up from 1st February 2011.

Belleville Rendez-Vous – Saturday 25th December, 4pm, Sunday 26th December, 7.30pm
A true delight for all ages and highly praised by audiences and critics for its unique style of animation, Belleville Rendez-Vous is a feel-good film infused with the spirit of the holiday season.

Arsène Lupin – Saturday 25th December, 9.00pm, Sunday 26th December 5.15pm
Discover ‘Heartbreaker’ Romain Duris, the infamous gentleman thief in the swash-buckling adventure Arsène Lupin, alongside Kristin Scott Thomas and Eva Green.

Inside Ring – Saturday8th January, 9.00pm; Sunday 9th January, 7.00pm

And God Created Woman – Tuesday 18th January, 11.00pm
