Daihatsu Japanese compact car specialist Daihatsu, is helping Glenis Lindley of Nottingham, celebrate winning the cash equivalent of her brand new Daihatsu Sirion in a national competition.

As part of Daihatsu’s ‘Cheaper Motoring Campaign’, which highlights the low running cost of their cars, new car buyers were automatically entered into a prize draw, the winner being fully reimbursed the cost of their vehicle in cash.

Daihatsu’s entire 100-strong dealer network ran the campaign during August and September 2008 and was supported by regional advertising and point-of-sale material.

One of over 1500 entrants, Glenis said: “I’m overjoyed and totally overwhelmed that I have got a car that I was more than willing to spend my well-earned cash on for nothing.”

Paul Tunnicliffe, Managing Director, Daihatsu Vehicle Distributors, said: “We know Mrs Lindley will be extremely happy with her Sirion for many years to come.”

Mrs Lindley collected her Sirion from Halls of Ruddington, Eastgate Street, Nottingham and the car is available in a choice of 1.0, 1.3 or 1.5 litre models. Each provides superb levels of equipment, including air conditioning, electric windows and CD/Radio system with MP3 AUX input. Low emissions, excellent fuel economy, (56.5 on the combined cycle), (road tax at £35 on the 1.0 model) plus a five-year manufacturers warranty and five years roadside assistance on all models, the Sirion offers space, style, value and equipment.
