airBaltic starts Riga to Moscow Domodedovo

Latvian national airline airBaltic has started a new route from Riga to the Moscow Domodedovo Airport, to supplement the existing Riga-Moscow Sheremetyevo service.

The new route of airBaltic will offer excellent transit connections via North Hub Riga to /from more than 80 destinations in Northern Europe, Western Europe and the Middle East.

Tero Taskila, Chief Commercial Officer: “In Russia, airBaltic achieved 70% passenger growth this year. After the new airBaltic route is opened, there will be up to six daily flights on the Riga – Moscow route.”

airBaltic will fly from Riga to Moscow Domodedovo Airport three times a week – Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Passengers will board a Boeing 737 aircraft for a flight that will last for 1 hour and 40 minutes. One-way ticket prices will start at EUR 77, including airport fees and transaction costs. In Russia, airBaltic achieved 70% passenger growth during the first six months of 2010 in comparison to the same period in the previous year.  In Russia, airBaltic offers flights to /from Moscow, St Petersburg and Kaliningrad.
