Judges at Britain's leading van magazine, What Van? have recognised Ford's range of commercial vehicles as winners and leaders in their 2011 awards.

Top prize for small vans and minibuses went to the Ford Fiesta Van and Ford Transit respectively. Also crowned was the Transit All-Wheel-Drive and Ford's One-Stop-Shop conversion programme came highly commended for the second year running.

Paul Barker, editor of What Van? said: "Given Ford’s domination of the UK commercial vehicle market, it should come as no surprise that it has collected a

hat-trick of What Van? awards. The Fiesta Van looks great, and drives as well as it looks, while offering very different characters in the form of the equally excellent SportVan and ECOnetic models.

"The Transit’s versatility is highlighted in the pair of awards it collects, being chosen by the expert What Van? judging panel as the top pick in both the Minibus category and the 4x4 Van for the All-Wheel-Drive Transit. Both are excellent variants that make it easier for users to go about their daily business as efficiently as possible, and deserve their success."

Transit brand manager, Ford of Britain, Dave Petts, said: "The breadth and diversity of the Ford commercial vehicle range is a key factor in its success. In these tough business times, it is great to see such strong endorsement from one of the industry's key magazines."
