Christmas arrived early at Barts and The London Children’s Hospital this week, as Saab GB stopped by to drop off £500 worth of Early Learning Centre presents for the hospital’s young patients.

The donation came after a recent survey from Saab GB showed that the average family spends just over £500 in presents for friends and family over the festive period and travels more than 200 miles to deliver them.

Jonathan Nash, Managing Director at Saab GB, comments: “Christmas can be a difficult time of year for families who have a child in hospital. We wanted to make this Christmas a little bit special for all the children at the hospital by giving them the latest toys to play with over the holiday season.

“Barts and The London Children’s Hospital are one of the UK’s leading hospitals and care for more than 40,000 children and young people each year. We are delighted to link up with the Early Learning Centre and donate all these toys to the hospital.”

Tracy Roe, Principal Play Specialist at Barts and The London Children’s Hospital, comments: “We would like to say a big thank-you to Saab and the Early Learning Centre for their kind generosity, I am sure that these presents will go a long way towards putting a smile on their faces.”
