A brand new sustainable development of 30 apartments is to be built in Chingford, E4. On 26th February, award winning developer Higgins Homes will launch the new homes at Affinity, Hall Lane, Chingford for off-plan sales, which will unveil fabulous new homes that are designed to achieve high energy efficiency ratings from the Code for Sustainable Homes.

Located on the edge of Chase Lane Park, the Affinity apartment buildings will feature gentle buff brickwork and white rendering that form a natural affinity with the green surroundings. Many homes will also include balconies with views of the park, whilst ground floor apartments will benefit from a private patio whilst all apartments have access to a garden.

Each high specification apartment will have a clean and contemporary aesthetic and smart usability, featuring integrated kitchens by Urban Myth and stylish bathrooms and fittings by Ideal Standard. Residents will receive an allocated parking space along with communal cycle storage to encourage carbon free transport.

In addition to the eco-friendly shared facilities, all homes at Affinity will be rated level three by the Code for Sustainable Homes. To achieve this rating, apartments will be fitted with lean burning central heating systems and photovoltaic roof panels that will provide at least a 25 per cent improvement in CO2 emissions. The properties will also benefit from recyclable waste storage, reduced flow showers and 40 per cent or more of all light fittings will utilise low energy fittings.

Jeremy Marcus, Sales and Marketing Director of Higgins Homes, comments: “Many elements have to be right in order to create a great home. Location, style and usability have always been crucial but increasingly, the sustainability of new homes is becoming the leading factor.

“Higgins Homes is confident that the apartments at Affinity will be popular with young professional buyers as these homes meet the demands of the 21st Century homebuyer.”

Affinity is conveniently located minutes from one of Chingford’s main shopping centres with a vibrant mix of high street and independent retailers, restaurants and bars. There are a number of golf clubs and sports facilities in the surrounding area and several park and woodland areas including the largest public open space in Greater London, Epping Forest. Frequent mainline rail services run from Highams Park to London Liverpool Street in just 22 minutes.*

Prices currently range from £159,500 for a one-bedroom apartment and from £184,500 for a two bedroom apartment. For more information or to reserve an appointment at the launch of the show apartments, visit: higginshomes.co.uk
