airBaltic to increase flights to Finland and Sweden

In the summer season Latvian national airline airBaltic will increase direct flights to the Riga-Lappeenranta, Riga-Vaasa and Vaasa-Umea routes, offering an improved transit connections for passengers travelling via North Hub Riga to and from destinations in Western Europe, CIS countries, and the Mediterranean Region.

Tero Taskila, Chief Commercial Officer of airBaltic: “New frequencies to Sweden and Finland have been requested by Latvian and Baltic businesses and private customers. These markets have seen significant increase in passenger numbers driven by our convenient schedule and every day low prices.”

Starting from March 27, airBaltic will double direct flights between Riga and Lappeenranta. airBaltic will offer 14 direct flights a week or twice a day on the route Riga-Lappeenranta.

One-way ticket prices will start at EUR 39, including airport fees and transaction costs. A full schedule of flights is available on the company’s homepage – airbaltic.com.

In Finland, airBaltic offers flights to /from 10 airports – Helsinki, Oulu, Lappeenranta, Turku, Tampere, Vaasa, Kuusamo, Kuopio, Rovaniemi and Kittila.
