Interior Design at Balls Park

Budding interior designers can indulge their creative side this weekend at an exclusive Interiors Day at the stunning Grade I Listed Balls Park development in Hertford.

The event, hosted by award-winning conservation and restoration specialist, City & Country Group, will take place on Saturday 19th March, from 10am to 5pm, when an experienced interior designer will be on hand to offer advice and direction on how to bring out the very best in a period property, as demonstrated at the Balls Park development itself.

Visitors will be able to view the spectacular show homes in The Stables, the first phase of development at Balls Park, each of which balance traditional historic features with contemporary internal decoration. Guests can also book a complimentary consultation with Liz Freeman, City & Country Group’s own Interior Designer; receiving tips on how to optimise available space, realise the full potential of period features and make pre-existing furniture fit within the style of a historic property, to create a beautiful but functional environment in which to live. Those who reserve an apartment on the day can also take up an exclusive offer of a free half-day one-to-one consultation with City & Country’s interior design expert.

Liz Freeman, Interior Designer at City & Country Group, comments: “Period properties are a real treasure, and provide a limitless scope for decorative creativity. Whether you like super modern designs or have more traditional tastes, every interior style looks incredible when placed alongside the wealth of unique features already available. By mixing old and new fashions, you can imprint your personal history onto that of the building, creating a distinctive home that is completely unique to you.”

Helen Moore, Managing Director of City & Country Residential, commented: “At Balls Park, we really wanted to create some sleek, stylish interiors that would blend with the historic architecture of the homes, as well as highlighting some of the latest interior design trends. Our interior design team has created some fantastic show homes in The Stables, each individually designed to highlight the unique living spaces and illustrate alternative ways that design conscious buyers could personalise a property. Our team of experts will also be on hand to give buyers some great ideas as to how they can use current design trends in their own homes.”

Properties in The Stables, the first phase of development at Balls Park, feature beautifully restored sash windows, as well as an abundance of other original features. Bespoke kitchens have been designed for each property and include a range of integrated stainless steel appliances, whilst the bathrooms incorporate white sanitaryware and chrome fittings. Throughout the properties, top quality flooring has been provided including 100% wool carpets, porcelain floor tiles and either engineered oak boards or restored original floorboards.

Sitting amidst 63 acres of Grade II listed parkland, featured on the English Heritage Register of Historic Parks and Gardens, Balls Park is an exclusive community and provides the perfect location with Hertford town centre just a short 10-minute walk away, where there are a variety of shops, restaurants and cafés. Whilst Kings Cross, Moorgate and London Liverpool Street are all accessed easily in under 50 minutes by train from Hertford with two separate train lines.

Prices at The Stables at Balls Park currently start from £232,500 for a one bedroom apartment and £315,000 for a two-bedroom apartment.
