From an enamelled factory light to a trio of stacking storage crates, an army ammo box to a set of wooden school chairs, Bubbledrum sources vintage industrial furniture from factories, schools and other sources around Europe. Once salvaged, each piece is carefully restored and then sold through Bubbledrum's easy-to-use, secure online store, bubbledrum.co.uk. The store is divided into four sections: Furniture, Storage, Lighting and Accessories, each of which offers an array of vintage pieces as well as some reproductions and contemporary items that complement the range.

Owners Caroline and Steve are passionate about interiors, design and recycling. When renovating their own home in Surrey they scoured flea markets, car boot fair and antiques markets in France and the UK for unique items and, once their house was complete, they decided to turn their passion into a business and set up Bubbledrum. 'We love the fact that each object tells a story, and brings personality, originality and a sense of style to a home,' says Caroline. 'It's also important to us that everything is affordable, and we do as much as we can to re-use, re-create and upcycle, even re-using cardboard boxes from our local furniture shop to help reduce our carbon footprint.'

As well as offering an ever-changing variety of irresistible pieces, Bubbledrum will happily source items upon request, whether for individuals, TV productions, opera or theatre.
