Money-off deal on Croatian photography holiday

27th April 2011 Print

Tatra Photography is offering £50 off of its three night “Lakes and Waterfalls” photography holidays in Croatia in May.

The breaks taking place from 9th to 12th and 12th to 15th May 2011 in Croatia's Plitvice Lakes National Park  now cost just £549 per person.

Bookable through tatraphotographyworkshop.com, the breaks include return flights from London Gatwick to Zagreb, (other departure airports available on request), airport transfers, transport to photography locations, three nights half board accommodation and four days of photography tuition. Accommodation is in Pension Plitvi?ka located very close to the park.

Plitvice Lakes National Park features 16 lakes interconnected by a series of waterfalls and set in deep woodlands populated by wildlife and surrounded by the mountains of Mala Kapela and Pljesivica. The Lakes are renowned for their distinctive and changing colours which range from azure to green, grey or blue depending on the quantity of minerals or organisms in the water and the angle of sunlight. Participants will use the park's eight km of pathways and wooden walking trails around the lakes to photograph this outstanding location.  The trails descend from an altitude of 636m to 503m above sea level, providing fantastic photographic opportunities.

Tuition is offered throughout the holiday and covers: composition, exposure, shutter speed, focus and depth-of-field, apertures and understanding histograms. Photographers will also learn to ‘read’ the landscape and how to create panoramas as well as getting advice on HDR imaging and black and white photography. Numbers are limited to seven people to ensure that each participant can receive high levels of personal tuition.

The holiday is led by award-winning British photographer Lee Pengelly who specialises in landscape & nature photography. The break is suited to photographers of all abilities whether working in digital or film, from 35mm up to large format.

Tatra photography has thoroughly researched all the photographic locations featured in the course so that participants can concentrate on photography and put into practice the hints, tips and techniques offered by the professional photographers.
