Olympic glory for Wembley City
With 8.8 million tickets available, the 2012 Olympic Games will give Londoners the first chance to see the world’s biggest sporting event in their own city since London last hosted the games in 1948. 650 sessions across 26 sports will take place in the space of 17 days but some Londoners will be closer to the action than others, and few more so than the residents of Quintain’s Wembley City development.
As the home of English football, Wembley Arena will host the gold medal football matches while Wembley Arena will host the badminton and rhythmic gymnastics events.
