Fairview New Homes has teamed with E.ON at their Colindale site, Pulse, to provide new homes with a Community Energy Centre, helping to bring down energy emissions and costs for residents.

Each household will have a ‘heat meter’ rather than an individual boiler, meaning consumers will only pay for the energy they use, rather than receiving estimated bills.

Benefits for residents of Pulse include:

• Reduced energy bills leading to higher disposable income
• Provision of affordable warmth and reduction of cold and condensation-related illnesses
• Reduced CO2 footprint
• Increased floor area of homes as there is no requirement for individual boilers and domestic hot water storage

Jim Holliday, Sales Director of Fairview New Homes, comments: “The Community Energy Centre at Pulse is a fantastic scheme for future residents. The centre will service the entire site of the former Colindale Hospital to benefit the whole area of regeneration.

“Apart from potential reduced energy costs, residents will only be responsible for the maintenance of their radiators within their property,” continues Mr Holliday. “All other components of the community energy system will be maintained by E.ON, meaning homeowners can enjoy this benefit hassle-free.”

New homes at Pulse are situated on the site of the old Victorian Colindale Hospital and some of the development still retains the original listed façade. On site there is 12.85 acres of green outdoor space and a central plaza with restaurants, shops and cafes.

Residents at Pulse will be able to reach central London in just 22 minutes on the Northern tube line and Colindale tube station is located right next to the new homes. Some of the properties have underground parking and the development has its own residents’ car club.

Pulse is five minutes on the tube to Brent Cross; a shopping mall with over 120 shops, restaurants and cafes. The Brent Cross area is also undergoing extensive regeneration which will help to improve the general area. King’s Cross and St Pancras are only 24 minutes away on the tube, giving access to the rest of the UK and abroad via the Eurostar.

Each home at Pulse has been carefully designed to maximise space and natural light. All kitchens have fitted units with integrated washer/dryer, oven hob and hood, and there are floor coverings throughout, with tiled floors to the kitchens and bathrooms.

“The new homes are perfect for first time buyers, families and investors alike, with different styles of apartments for all requirements,” Mr Holliday concludes. “The excellent transport network and regeneration of the area means that Colindale has been identified as one of London’s up and coming hotspots.”

Studio, one and two-bedroom apartments are available at Pulse. Studio apartments are priced from £169,995, and one and two-bedroom apartments from £219,995.
