The 11 lads making up Britain's Got Talent winners Diversity jumped for joy – and straight across the bonnet of their new Ford Galaxy – on receiving the new tour support vehicle.

Famed for their acrobatic street dance moves, the 13 to 25-year-olds from Essex and East London are touring using the seven-seat Ford Galaxy in Titanium X trim with 2.0-litre TDCi 140PS engine.

The Dagenham dance troupe collected their new Ford from the company's huge nearby manufacturing centre.  The group was at Ford's wind-powered Dagenham Diesel Centre – one of two plants on the estate producing almost a million diesel engines for blue oval-badged vehicles a year.

Jon Wellsman, Ford Britain sales director, said:  "As the Ford car offering the most space and versatility, the Ford Galaxy is well matched to Diversity's requirements for space for multiple passengers and equipment.  Essex is Ford's spiritual home and I'm delighted that we are able to support another of our county's favourites."

Danielle Banjo, Diversity's manager, said:  "The logistics of organising Diversity's 11 members, plus a couple of managers, to get to all the group's events are now a lot simpler thanks to Ford's loan.  The lads like their Ford Galaxy's impressive features such as LED interior lights, USB connectivity and glass panorama roof – all standard on this model."

In 2011 – its centennial year – Ford Britain has sold almost 3,500 Ford Galaxys in the UK year to date.  Priced from £24,560, the Ford Galaxy is Britain's top selling Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV), last year taking 64 per cent of sales in the MPV segment.
