£100 saving on legendary Cathars trail

1st July 2011 Print

Save £100 on a guided trail which follows in the footsteps of the last of the Cathars as they fled from France to Spain - along the path of the Bon Hommes – courtesy of HF Holidays, the UK’s largest walking and leisure activity holiday organisation.

Traversing the Pyrenees, the seven-night Cathar Crossing itinerary unearths the secrets of this ancient trail whilst taking in medieval hill-top castles and spectacular views of gorges, mountains and peaks.

Highlights along the way include an introduction to Cathar history, the castle of Montsegur, the stunning Sierra de Cadi, the Cadi-Moxero national park, plus the castle at Gosol and the sanctuary of Queralt – both places of refuge for many Cathars.

Departing 10 September, the revised cost is £759 per person, land-only or £959 inclusive of return Heathrow flights and transfers.

These twin-share prices also include seven nights’ full board accommodation in small hotels and guesthouses, all transport and luggage transfers on walking days and the services of an experienced local leader.
