The used car deals for less than £7,000

12th July 2011 Print

On a recent BBC TV Top Gear, Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond set out to prove that there are some fantastic cars to be had for just £6,995 – the same price as a new Nissan Pixo.  Having surveyed a wide range of cars – including a Porsche 911 - Clarkson opted for a Mercedes CL600 and Hammond a BMW 8 Series.

Tim Naylor of leading UK car auction specialist, British Car Auctions (BCA) believes this proves the tremendous value that is currently available for used car buyers at auction.  “There is no question that there are some great deals to be had at the moment.  And with a little preparation and research, buying a car at auction doesn’t have to be an intimidating experience.

“For around £7,000 in recent weeks, BCA has sold such iconic and desirable premium models such as Audi TT, BMW X5, Jaguar S Type and Mercedes C220 as well as low mileage good condition examples of Fiat 500, VW Beetle, MINI and Alfa Romeo Mito.

“The vast majority of BCA’s sales are open to all-comers and buyers can head online to browse on our website ahead of going to a sale.   All they need to do is register online to view sale catalogues and vehicle descriptions and images in the stock locator, all completely free.  Then they can head to the auction to make the most of their budget.

“Armed with a little knowledge, auction buyers can get a great deal right now” continues Tim Naylor.  “Our comprehensive website offers buyers valuable information at the click of a button, allowing them to get an idea of the available stock before they even leave home. Then once at the auction, our expert staff are always happy to help and answer any questions.  It’s a great way to make the most of a limited budget.”
