Ski specialists to completely revamp Alpine hotel

High Altitude Ski specialists Take Me Too has bought a hotel in L’Alpe d’Huez in the French Alps with the intention of turning it into the leading resort in their revamped ski offering.

The Gloucester-based firm swooped on the landmark Hotel Les Grande Rousses and announced an immediate overhaul of the facilities aimed at creating a four-star headquarters in one of France’s premier high altitude skiing resorts.

Marketing Director Martin Griffiths said: “We have already begun a complete revamp which will transform the hotel and dramatically upgrade the facilities on offer to four-star level.

“The whole hotel will be themed around new experiences as we are selling experiences not just holidays. The overhaul will create one of the most strikingly contemporary interiors in the resort.

“We will also be extending our training programme focusing on delivering great customer care and service within the hotel through highly trained staff.

“We see our customers as the most important part of our business and with improved facilities at the hotel and a superb location with white capped mountain-peaks forming a stunning backdrop everywhere you look we believe the sky’s the limit for seasoned ski fans and newcomers alike.

“Our customers have been telling us they were always impressed with what is after all a truly breath-taking location but felt the hotel décor had possibly seen better days.

“That’s all changed now as we launch a full refurbishment programme to ensure it becomes the real jewel in the crown of Take Me Too’s ski offering and really lives up to its superb location.”

Gloucester based Take Me To (Ski) is a specialist ski company owned and operated by skiers for skiers and operates a range of hotel and chalet accommodation in the Oisans Mountains in the enduringly popular French Alps.

The Hotel Les Grande Rousses is located right on the snow front and visitors can ski right to up the door. The main lift which transports skiiers to the central skiing area of L’Alpe d’Huez is only seconds away from the hotel and all of the bars, shops and restaurants are within a few minutes walk.

The 55-room hotel is fully equipped with an indoor swimming pool, sauna and Jacuzzi and offers first class food in the restaurant. The lounge is equipped with a fully serviced bar and open fireplace to relive the highlights of your day.

All rooms are offered on a "Chalet-Hotel" basis including a wholesome breakfast each morning, afternoon tea and cakes when you arrive home after the day skiing and a sumptuous four course evening meal each night.

Inside is a large living and dining area equipped with UK satellite TV. The chalet also boasts large south facing balconies for you to absorb breathtaking views of the Oisans Mountains.
