The Chedi Muscat is counting down for one of the most important spa openings in the Middle East. The five star resort is in the process of enlarging its current spa and wellness offering, which will open its doors at the beginning of August 2011.

A total of 13 spacious treatment rooms and a health club will make The Spa the biggest spa in Muscat. One of the highlights will be The Long Pool, which, with its length of 103 metres, will be the longest outdoor pool in The Sultanate of Oman.

The spa, pool and fitness area cover an area of 12.000m2. The Spa will be managed by The Chedi Muscat, a GHM hotel. The beauty products used at The Spa will include REN, Naturelle D’Orient, ILA, VOYA, Sparitual and Abahna. The Spa is dedicated to restoration of strength and beauty ensuring balance of mind, body and soul by following ancient healing traditions from the East. In addition to the specialization in Balinese therapies The Spa offers a wide range of treatments based on the holistic principles of aromatherapy, Ayurveda and herbal medicine.

The design of the hotel will flow elegantly into the new spa; contemporary furnishings, understated elegance and a perfect mix of Omani architecture and an Asian Zen-style. In addition to the new treatment rooms, guests may enjoy a 400m2 gym featuring the very latest state-of-the-art Technogym equipment inclusive of Power Plates, a Kinesis wall and a Pilates Corner. High and low impact group exercise classes will be available as well as the services of Personal Trainers. There will also be a separate women's and men's sauna and steam bath, a relaxation room with stunning views of the Gulf of Oman, two other pools (The Serai Pool and The Chedi Pool) and two floodlight tennis courts. The Long Pool Cabanas offer cocktails and light, well balanced meals and snacks that are inspired by the Japanese/Malay cuisine. The facility has been especially created for the residents of the hotel, however a limited number of exclusive memberships will be made available for residents of Muscat.
