61 year old grandmother, Jean Smith, from Huyton in Liverpool, has won a two night stay at the 4* Red House Country Hotel in the Peak District, courtesy of the UK’s fastest growing travel review site for over 50 year old travellers Silver Travel Advisor.

Jean’s name was the first out of the hat in a nationally run prize draw among all new members signing up to Silver Travel Advisor during June 2011.

Silver Travel Advisor provides a forum for older travellers to post travel reviews and holiday tips and offers free travel advice and information to its thousands of members.

She said “I’m so delighted to have won and I can’t wait to spend time in the Peak District with my husband Chuck. We love travelling, which is why is signed up to share some of our travel experiences on Silver Travel Advisor. We have spent so much time in Spain, Thailand, Australia, Chile, Argentina, India and Venezuela that we’ve not had time to explore the UK as much as we’d like to. I was so shocked to get the phone call from Silver Travel Advisor as I never win competitions!”

Debbie Marshall, who heads up the Silver Travel Advisor team, said “we were delighted to bring Jean and Chuck news of their win and we look forward to reading about their holiday at the Red House Country Hotel when she posts her review at silvertraveladvisor.com”.
