Award-winning housebuilder Bellway Homes is now working ahead of schedule on the latest phase of its development ‘The Avenues’ at Calderpark, close to the former site of Glasgow Zoo, in an effort to meet increasing buyer demand.

Fourteen stylish new family homes are now planned for completion at The Avenues by the end of this year, more than six months ahead of schedule, such has been the demand by house-hunters eager to set up homes.

Further adding to the appeal of The Avenues is the newly completed M74 link road, making it a highly accessible location for travel to and from Glasgow, and beyond.

Located on the south east edge of Glasgow, the popular development already features a selection of three, four and five bedroom homes. The new phase of family homes at The Avenues will start from just £184,995.
Two showhomes are also available to view at The Avenues – the Arran and Scott, offering visitors a taste of Bellway’s modern interior design and diverse range of living options.

New homes at The Avenues are not just highly stylish and spacious, they also combine all the convenience of easy access to Glasgow city centre, which is just seven miles away, with all the benefits of an excellent location. Few places in the city are as well-located for accessing the M73 and M8 motorways.

Fraser Conn, Sales & Marketing Director of Bellway Homes, said: “Bellway has received such a positive response to the latest phase of The Avenues development in Calderpark that we’ve pressed ahead with works well ahead of schedule.”

“Calderpark is a great location for growing families to live and enjoy easy access to the local motorway network and wide range of leisure pursuits.”

To help those interested in buying a property at The Avenues, Bellway Homes offers the company’s free Express Mover initiative. Bellway will work with a recommended local agent to market a buyers existing property for an agreed selling price. Bellway will be in contact with the agent on a regular basis to encourage them to find a purchaser as quickly as possible and will also feature the buyer’s existing property within their sales office, whether they are trading up, sideways or down.

For growing families, there are several primary schools and senior schools in easy reach of Calderpark.
The nearby conservation village of Bothwell is home to Scotland’s largest and finest 13th century castle. The popular village provides a peaceful setting to relax with a wide range of restaurants, cafes, bars and exclusive shops.

For those looking for some retail therapy, Glasgow Fort is the new out-of-town shopping experience nearby, offering 70 outlets with a variety of leading high street names. Birkenshaw Retail Park is also close by.

At neighbouring Uddingston, residents at The Avenues will find a range of sports facilities including bowling and tennis clubs, and the well-established Uddingston Cricket and Sports Club. Keen golfers will discover a great choice of courses and settings within a five mile radius, including the courses at Bothwell Castle, the Calderbraes Clubs, Bellshill and Strathclyde Park Golf Clubs.
