Set in the heart of rural Suffolk, The Crown at Stoke by Nayland, offers two rooms with patio doors that open out onto their own private terrace with picturesque views of the Suffolk countryside that might have been seen and painted by the artist, John Constable. The hotels gardener’s attention to detail is evident through walking around the property with the terrace outside the restaurant planted out each season with a particular colour as its starting point, whilst fragrant herbs are found close to the kitchen for use in the hotels delicious cuisine.

Combe House Devon, is an Elizabethan manor hotel hidden in a lush 3,500 acre estate near Exeter. On the Southern shores of Lake Windermere with two acres of garden leading down to the lake, Lakeside Hotel has a choice of four perfectly positioned private garden rooms with four uniquely ‘themed’ gardens. For example, The Scented Garden is designed using only plants that have scented flowers or foliage. These include ‘Azara microphylla’, which is known as ‘The chocolate tree’ and a Sarcococca Hookeriana (sweet box) that produces a strong sweet fragrance.
