Hot new deals on Honda’s great off-roaders

15th September 2011 Print

Honda has announced some great new offers on its range of off-road machines for both 2011 and new-for-2012 models.

The class leading and championship winning CRF250R and CRF450R motocrossers, as well as the CRF250X and CRF450X highly capable enduro machines are all available on low rate finance between 12 and 36 month terms when purchased new. With a minimum deposit of just 10%, you could own one of these great machines from as little as £140.00 per month (depending on model and repayment term)

The CRF450R yet again proved its prowess this year with Honda’s Brad Anderson ‘cleaning up’ by winning the British MX1, British Masters MX1 and Red Bull Pro National and Championships.

The CRF250R has secured a very strong second position in the MX2 championship with Pulse Racing DB Honda’s Elliott Banks-Browne, following an extremely competitive championship season – a result which further underlines the leading spirit of Honda’s CRF off-road machines.

Exciting updates have been already been announced for three of Honda’s flagship off-road machines for 2012, which sees improved suspension and power to enhance rider confidence and sharpen further the winning edge of these already hugely popular machines.

The class-leading CRF405R and CRF250R will be receiving engine updates, improved suspension and wider footpegs, while the CRF150RB will see engine updates for improved power, torque and driveability plus revised suspension to improve action. All three models will sport new Honda Racing-inspired graphics.

The CRF450R has optimised suspension on the front and rear with more rigid fork outer tubes, plus a tough and lightweight Honda Progressive Steering Damper. Combined with the new wider and lighter footpegs, these updates are designed to give riders greater stability on rough terrain and improve steering.

There are several changes on the CRF250R’s power-plant to include an all-new cylinder head and new camshaft for enhanced drivability at low and medium rpm, plus enhanced mid range power and torque feel. Other changes to this lightweight off-roader include new Pro-Link rear suspension linkage for enhanced traction and improved chassis control, new suspension settings and longer and wider footpegs for stable running on rough terrain which together, will further boost rider confidence.

The updates for the CRF150RB will focus on enhanced reliability and durability with a revamped liquid-cooled 149cm³ 4-stroke engine at the forefront of these changes, with stronger power, torque and drivability across a wider rev range the most significant part. Revised suspension settings mean a 37mm inverted Showa front fork and Pro-Link rear suspension system is now in place to deal with bumpy off-road terrain more efficiently.

Honda’s current range of off-road machines start from just £1,200 for the youngster friendly CRF50F mini-bike, with the CRF70F and CRF100F fun off-roaders priced at £1,300 and £1,800 respectively.

In the larger off-road machine range, the current and ever popular CRF150RB is available at £3,800, with the competitive CRF250R and CRF450R (new 2012 model) motocrossers available at £6,200 and £6,450 respectively. The 2011 CRF250R is priced at £5,800 although there is no availability of the 2011 CRF450R.

The enduro-inspired ‘X’ specification 250 and 450 models for 2012 are £5,600 and £5,850, with the 2011 model CRF450X priced at £5,450.

Honda’s latest 2012 three CRF ‘R’ specification machines will be available now, with the CRFs in enduro ‘X’ trim available from November.
