Two’s company on a Santa Lapland holiday

Santa holiday specialist Santa’s Lapland has launched `holidays for two’ for the first time, with special packages for one adult and one child travelling to Lapland’s frozen north together.

Holidays start at £1499 for a three day stay in Lapland for two (based on one adult and a child aged under twelve years travelling together), including return flights from Gatwick, or Stansted (£1659 from Manchester), transfers, free use of thermal outer clothing, half board accommodation in the Hotel Holiday Club in the snowy resort of Saariselka, a full day’s activities and a private meeting with Santa Claus in his cosy log cabin home.

Santa’s Lapland’s Melvin Westlake said “We have lots of family groups and extended families travelling out to see Santa with us, but we know too that there are times when only one parent is available to travel, and that there are lots of single parent families out there too.

So this year for the first time we’ve come up with a package that’s specifically for one adult and one child. We’ve packed holidays for two in a lovely hotel with great facilities, so there’s always something going on and single adults will feel comfortable”.

The Hotel Holiday Club has its own indoor water park and swimming pool complex, a buffet style restaurant, bar area and is located in the centre of Saariselka, within walking (or tobogganing) distance of bars and shops. Guests are also offered free use of the hotel’s toboggans.

To ensure as inclusive an experience as possible Santa’s Lapland include a full day’s complimentary activities in a snowy woodland setting with every Santa holiday booked. Families can enjoy a complimentary reindeer sleigh ride, husky dog sled experience, a kids’ mini-skidoo ride, and unlimited ice fishing, tobogganing, ice-hockey, warm drinks and lunch in a cosy log-built restaurant with roaring open fire. A private appointment with Santa is arranged for each family group, and guests are taken to see Santa by sleigh, wrapped in cosy, warm reindeer skins, by elf-driven skidoo.
