Visit Bloor Homes’ St Whites development on Sunday 30 October and the staff promise not to turn you into a pumpkin. However, you can join in with some Halloween fun during their themed open day when the sales advisers will be dressed in scary costumes and the marketing suite and showhomes will be a little spooky.

Taking place from 11am to 4pm, there will be also face painting available for the children and refreshments throughout the day along with a free prize draw to win a Halloween hamper.

Sales Adviser, Jo Smith said: “We’re holding this event as a means of raising awareness of FirstBuy - a recently launched Government-backed equity loan scheme designed to help people to buy a brand new home - but in a relaxed environment.

“The scheme is aimed not just at first time buyers but also those seeking to return to the housing market, and growing families in need of more space. Those eligible for the scheme can take advantage of a loan of up to 20 per cent of the market value of the property and only need to put down a five per cent deposit, which makes buying your own home far more affordable. We have several plots here at St Whites that are available to purchase using FirstBuy, so our event offers a great opportunity for would-be homeowners to find out more.”

The event also offers an ideal opportunity to discover the delights of the development – its stunning hillside location in the heart of the Forest of Dean, just a matter of minutes away from the centre of Cinderford’s historic market town, and the variety of high quality homes being built. You can take a good look around the development and the two showhomes and find out how the excellent rating of energy efficiency on each of Bloor’s homes can help keep your fuel bills down.

There is currently a range of two and three-bedroom homes available at St Whites, each designed using either brick, stone or render finish in keeping with the local surroundings. Prices start from just £119,950 for a two-bedroom coach house with an ensuite to the main bedroom, a garage and additional parking.

St Whites is also just a short distance from the communities of Buckshaft, Soudley and Littledean and is convenient for those who need to commute to Gloucester which is just 10 miles away along the A4151, and Monmouth which is even closer at eight miles.
