There’s never been a better time to buy in Fife with award winning house builder Bellway Homes. The company’s stylish selection of competitively priced properties are just a 30-minute journey from the heart of Scotland’s capital, ensuring buyers have the best of both worlds.

Bellway currently has two developments in the Kingdom of Fife – Glastian Meadows in Kinglassie and Birchwood in Cowdenbeath, offering a collection of two, three and four-bedroom homes that are available for up to £100,000 less than equivalent properties in Edinburgh.

A recent report by the Bank of Scotland, highlighted that those who travel to the capital for work but live outside it, are benefitting from house prices that are 34% lower by commuting. This figure relates to house prices just 30 minutes from the capital, which Glastian Meadows and Birchwood both are, and more than offsets the average £1,700 annual cost of a one hour commute to the capital.

Fraser Conn, Sales and Marketing Director at Bellway Homes, says: “Our current developments in Fife have witnessed much success in recent months. Sales remain consistent, which indicates that several factors have come together that appeal to buyers, namely, excellent locations with great commutability appeal and a pricing structure on a great choice of homes. This is driving increasing numbers of buyers to enjoy the benefits of out-of-town living.”

Prices at Birchwood are released for just £118,995 for a two-bedroom mid-terrace property and from £120,995 at Glastian Meadows for a three-bedroom terraced home. A menu of incentives is also on hand from Bellway, ensuring that whatever a prospective buyer’s circumstances, there is a perfect solution to support them in securing a new home including: Part Exchange, Express Mover, 5% Deposit Paid, Helping Hand, Blue Light Discount for emergency service employees and an Armed Forces Discount.

With high quality interiors, every home comes equipped with a variety of useful and practical touches. Several properties at both developments benefit from large dining kitchens with adjoining family area. Separate utility rooms, en-suite master-bedrooms and integral garages are other key features, making sure there is the right home at both developments to suit families of any age or size.

Close to the nearby towns of Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy as well as all the leisure, cultural and social pursuits of the city centre, Birchwood benefits from a semi-rural setting. The area enjoys a number of local services, from primary and secondary schools, supermarkets and a wide-choice of local shops on Cowdenbeath’s busy high street. Birchwood has been specialised design to provide local walkways into the adjoining countryside and is also in easy reach of 1,200 acres of beautiful woodland at Lochore Meadows County Park.

For residents at Glastian Meadows, Kinglassie also offers a wealth of amenities. This rural village has its own highly rated primary school, day nursery, post office, library, food shops and village pub. The A92 passes just south of the village, while junction 5 of the M90 is only a few miles to the west, making travel not just to Edinburgh accessible, but also Perth – as too does a regular rail service to both cities from nearby Glenrothes train station.
