Gareth Thomas MP for Harrow West recently visited the new show home at Home Group’s Spectrum development in Rayners Lane, Harrow to see how the multi million pound 10 year regeneration scheme is transforming the area.

The transformation of the Rayners Lane Estate to replace the former 1960’s estate was backed by Harrow Council. The estate was in much need of updating and it is one of the most ambitious schemes in the borough. By 2014, Home Group will have supplied 450 properties for rent and over 300 properties for sale, representing an additional 300 homes for the area.

Gareth Thomas MP comments: “I am a great supporter of the Rayners Lane Regeneration Project as it is transforming the lives of hundreds of people in the area. I was most impressed with the new show home and can see why there has been so much interest in the affordable homes. I wish Home Group every success in the continuing redevelopment programme and hope that the new residents enjoy their new lives on the estate.”

Sophia Arain Sales and Marketing Manager at Home Group comments: “We are delighted that Gareth Thomas MP strongly supports the Rayners Lane regeneration scheme and is impressed with the show home. The show apartment along with the existing marketing suite and future show house offers a great opportunity for people to see for themselves the excellent range of apartments and houses on offer at the Spectrum which are currently available for sale. We advise all potential purchasers to come and visit.”

Designed to provide spacious, flexible living space, the new homes at The Spectrum are ideal for a wide range of people. The interiors are finished to a high specification including fitted shaker style kitchens with integrated appliances and fully tiled family bathrooms. Many of the two bedroom apartments have an additional en suite bathroom; all properties benefit from their own outdoor space in the form of a balcony or private patio area.

Thoughtfully designed to offer the best in energy efficiency, there are solar panels on the building’s roofs to lower fuel bills for the owners. All properties have gas central heating, double glazed windows, several properties have parking and all with a ten-year NHBC guarantee.

The Rayners Lane Estate is being sensitively redesigned to create a range of neighbourhoods, each with its own distinctive character, including cottage-style houses, cobbled urban squares, tree-lined avenues and contemporary apartment buildings. Hundreds of newly planted trees provide a pleasant green backdrop.

The scheme also incorporates a comprehensive range of community facilities, including new shops, public open spaces and a state-of-the-art community centre: a Sports Fun zone for active youngsters, including an equipped play area for under-8s, to be added shortly.

The Spectrum is ideally located for Harrow and Central London. It is just a 15-minute walk away from Rayners Lane Tube station, served by both the Piccadilly and Metropolitan lines. Harrow-on-the-Hill is just two stops away (on the Metropolitan line). Wembley Stadium is five stops while Baker Street is just over 25 minutes away for a quick and easy commute.

The main shopping area in Rayners Lane has a wide range of amenities, including many restaurants, shops and pubs. There is also a Tesco Express close to the development.

From the first phase of released properties, prices start from £285,000 for 2 bedroom houses. Prices for 1 and 2 bedroom apartments will be released in January 2012. Some properties are offered for equity share purchase (First-buy) and others for Outright sale. For sales information, visit thespectrumlondon.com.
