Free breakdown cover for new Sainsbury's Car Insurance customers

30th December 2011 Print

New Sainsbury's car insurance customers will receive free breakdown assistance. The cover is available to all customers who take out a Sainsbury's car insurance policy between now and 9th April 2012.

The cover includes a number of benefits, providing peace of mind that you and your family won't be left stranded should your car break down, such as free labour for roadside repairs and free recovery service to a repairer within ten miles. In addition, should you be unable to reach friends and family from the roadside, the breakdown service will ensure that a message reaches them to advise that your car has broken down and that help is on the way.

Customers with a Nectar card could also benefit from a discount of up to 15% on their premium as well as double Nectar points on all their purchases in-store and at the forecourt for two years. For example, those spending £49 a week in Sainsbury's could, over a year, earn Nectar points equivalent to the value of a week's free shopping.

Ben Tyte, Head of Sainsbury's car insurance said: "No matter how new or old your car is, there is always a risk that you could break down, so we would urge those who are looking for a new car insurance policy and do not currently have breakdown cover to take advantage of our new customer offer.

"Whether you have a family or travel alone, breaking down could be a real inconvenience so, having peace of mind that you are covered and can call upon professional help is invaluable - especially in winter, and on those cold, dark nights."
