Food and wine tour to meet your 'get healthy' New Year’s resolutions

30th December 2011 Print

We all make New Year's Resolutions - must get more exercise, eat a more healthy diet, learn to destress, try something new - so signing up for a gastronomic tour of Catalonia seems unlikely to meet your objectives. However on closer inspection a food and wine lovers cycle tour may just tick a few boxes! Cycle Catalan are offering a 7 day tour on two wheels exploring vineyards, olive groves, orchards, visiting local markets and producers on the way.

You can enjoy a typical Mediterranean diet and sample award winning Emporda wines completely guilt free thanks to the 35kms a day pedal power that will burn off the calories. Factor in some sunshine, and a swim in the sea after a day on the saddle.

Although you might not lose much weight you will certainly return home rejuvinated, more toned, relaxed and healthier. Boxes ticked, job done!

The Food and Wine Lovers Tours run on request throughout the year. This holiday includes 6 nights bed and breakfast, 3 dinners, transfers from and to Girona airport, transfer of luggage from hotel to hotel, 21 speed hybrid touring bikes, maps, fact sheets, back up support from a Cycle Catalan guide. Cost per person €795.
